My 3 Smartphone Photography Training programs have been designed to teach photography, videography and basic photojournalism so people can learn to take great images for family and of friends, use their skills in the workplace to promote events and news within the business arena. What I call the One Minute Feature Film in the Videography course trains people to create a fully edited 1-2 minute video for use on various platforms including social media and YouTube. This will be using cross platform editing software and include cutaways, voiceovers and use of external mics. The last course on basic photojournalism teachers how to take 3 images, make the one minute video and write a press release/story to send out to external media or for use with internal intranet comms. This is particularly useful for big companies with lots of staff in a large building or for smaller charities with comms personnel.

SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAHY - 2 HOUR COURSE

A two hour course where you will learn to use the camera on your phone to it's full potential. Create stunning images while learning the basics of photography with a professional photographer. these 2 hour group courses encourage team building and working together and are a great way of meeting like minded photographers and working together. The courses cost £35 per person and are in groups of 10-20 students.

SMARTPHONE VIDEOGRAPHY - 2 HOUR COURSE

This 2 hour course will train people to draw up a Storyboard and plan a short 1 minute video. Then we cover how to shoot the footage without creating hours of film that then all needs sorting. Once the film is shot we learn how to import and edit the film into a final cut. The is will include training on how to shoot and use cutaways, how to film interviews and use sound correctly. During the edit you'll use voiceovers, transitions and learn to create intro and outro slides. We cover how to use royalty free music with incurring the © police telling you to take it down from YouTube and other algorithm driven platforms. This course costs £35 per person and is in groups of 10-20 students

SMARTPHONE PHOTOJOURNALISM - FULL DAY COURSE

An all day course covering the photography and video courses above. This is an interactive day where we actually shoot the images and video content and then write up the story. The end result is people should leave the course being able to shoot images and write a news story for internal or external media sources and supply them with a fully edited 1-2 minute video. It will then show how to supply the package and export or send to the end user so all the information arrives as one unit to one person. This course is £80 per person for the full days training.

SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

Get a book from the library, open it at a page, pick a line, pick a number from the number of words in that line. Whatever that word is, shoot 3 images on it over the next two weeks and send them in to the tutor. After they are all collected in, two weeks later we do a slideshow and pick the best 3 images. Winner gets the cookie. The trouble is .. all photographers of the images are unidentified until the winners are picked so you'll only know which ones are yours. Another complication is, the students will be up against a professional photographer who will also be doing the project. Their 3 images will be in the mix for judging too.
This project is set at the end of the SMARTPHONE TRAINING (above) which is delivered slightly differently depending on the age of the students. Each course is quoted individually depending on number of students attending.
