Smartphone Wedding Videography and Drone Photography
October 2023: I shot a short 4 minute smartphone video of a friends sisters wedding. When I asked them what they thought of it, they said they loved it and the concept of a video from the day, online in the evening and able to play onscreen at the reception and evening event was born. I have now decided to offer this as a professional service and have added a drone to my camera kit to further enhance the product. A 4 minute smartphone video summing up the story of the day, fully edited and published on the same day as the Wedding.
No one wants a 2 hour full length movie of their day anymore but I think this 4 minute professional smartphone video will be popular moving forward. It brings together the quality and speed of smartphone with the skills of a professional photographer and videographer and makes the fully edited footage available on the same day. Imagine relatives and friends in far off places that could not be with you on the day being able to enjoy the wedding with you via YouTube. A four minute story of the day .. on screen at the reception so the evening guests can get the mood and vibe of the earlier ceremony and reception.
